Before you print 500 flyers, print one. Scan it off the paper with two different phones, in normal room light, from arm's length. A code that works on your screen doesn't always work on paper: the ink spreads, the colours get paler, the paper shines. If it scans, print the rest. If it doesn't, make the code bigger or the colours stronger, and try again.
